A Living-Learning Community (LLC) allows students with similar academic interests to take classes together and live on the same floor in the residence hall, while creating meaningful relationships with faculty, staff and other LLC students. A Transformational Education: Living-Learning Communities (LLCs) are intentionally designed opportunities to enhance your education by expanding the "classroom" to include your residence hall and the greater Jacksonville community.
Theme Housing promotes a direct link between residential and extracurricular life for students. It provides students who have common extracurricular interest the opportunity to live together in campus housing while fulfilling a common goal.

Medallion Program
The LLC Medallion Program is designed to help you get involved with faculty events, social activities with your peers, opportunities provided by the Learning Community Assistant staff, and other events across campus. By participating in the LLC Medallion Program and experiences, the most engaged students in each LLC will earn a certificate of completion and a medallion to be worn at commencement. Each semester LCAs will notify students of upcoming opportunities to earn LLC Medallion credit. An award ceremony is held each spring for all LLC students in recognition of the year and their accomplishments.
