Description:
Two or more species of Decumaria are native to Asia and North America. This species is native to the eastern United States. Short roots attach this vine to its support so it can climb straight up a tree trunk. White flowers are held in flat clusters that are reminescent of a hydrangea. Fruits are small dry capsules. The flowers are attractive to butterflies.

In northeast Florida, this native vine can be found in nurseries specializing in native plants. It is easy to cultivate in a moist situation.
