This is an unusual garden plant in northeast Florida. These plants were donated to the University of North Florida by Jacksonville plant collector, Joyce Jarrell. Some of the information about this plant on the internet is contradictory. So far, we have grown it in full sun and part shade in irrigated landscape beds. It survived winter lows in the high 20's F.
