Tagetes lemmonii - Copper Canyon daisy

Description:

About 50 species of Tagetes are native to Africa and North and South America. The best known of the species is the hybrid annual marigold which exists in a myriad of forms. The Copper Canyon daisy is a relatively new plant to our gardens. It is native to the American southwest and northern Mexico. It may flower sporadically through the year but tends to bloom heaviest in autumn with bright yellow daisies. The foliage is finely dissected and has an aroma reminiscent of the annual marigold.
