Presser Scholar Award

Purpose

The purpose of this fund is to support undergraduate students in the School of Music. The Presser Foundation Undergraduate Scholar Award is to be presented and paid in full to an undergraduate music major at the end of their junior academic year. It is designed to encourage and support in a special way the education of a music student who exemplifies high academic and musical accomplishment, leadership, and citizenship. The Award is intended to be prestigious and publicly announced in an appropriate way. The student shall be known as a “Presser Scholar” and the institution is responsible for providing details about the Presser Scholar to The Foundation.

Student Criteria 

Eligible students must:

  • meet admissions requirements and be accepted by the University of North Florida,
  • be a junior as a major in the School of Music, and
  • be selected by a committee appointed by the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Students awarded this scholarship must also agree to:

  •  comply with all University regulations, rules, codes of conduct governing students on campus,
  • consent to release grades to the Division of University Development and Alumni Engagement for the purpose of reporting to the donor, and
  • remain in good standing as a student.

This award is not eligible for renewal.
