Scholarships
We offer an increasing number of merit and need-based scholarships each year funded by generous gifts from private donors, alumni, friends of the College, administration, faculty, staff, non-profit organizations and corporations.
There are various UNF and non-UNF scholarships available for UNF students. Scholarships are awarded for a variety of reasons, including academic achievement, financial need, campus and community involvement and leadership experience. Scholarships are a form of gift aid and do not need to be repaid.
Scholarship Universe is here! UNF has transitioned from the Academic Works scholarship platform to Scholarship Universe. This third-party software system offers over 17,000 vetted and approved internal scholarships offered by UNF and external scholarships from non-UNF organizations and will match you with scholarships for which you may qualifty.

Scholarship Thank You Letter Tips
- Make an impact: Your thank you letter is very important to the donor! It provides you with an opportunity to share your own personal story and to express your gratitude for the award.
- Make it your own: Share your own story about you, what year you are in, what you are majoring in, how this scholarship has helped you and a brief description of your short-term / long-term career aspirations. The letter does not have to be long, but it should be heartfelt.
- Write professionally: You want to make a good impression! Write clearly and concise, express enthusiasm and be sincere and check for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting it.
- Handwritten letters: Handwritten letters can make an even greater impact!
