Expression on Campus

Freedom of speech is the right of a person to articulate opinions and ideas without interference or retaliation from the government. The term “speech” constitutes expression that includes more than just words, but also what a person wears, reads, performs, protests and other expressive activity. The University of North Florida is committed to a welcoming campus, where individuals from all backgrounds experience a sense of belonging and are free to express themselves. Our institutional culture is rooted in the core values of mutual respect and civility.
