Anélaciti (Ané) Nguyen serves as the Assistant Victim Advocate for the Dean of Students Office and is a confidential resource. Her focus is providing trauma-informed crisis intervention and emotional support to individuals affected not only by crime, but by interpersonal conflict to guide them to a place where productive changes can occur. She assists in informing members of the UNF community of their rights, providing peer-led empowerment support, and is a liaison for individuals navigating the different resources available.

Ané received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice (magna cum laude), from UNF in April 2021. She has a background in providing trauma-informed, comprehensive, and compassionate care. She ensured ethical and legal standards when applying behavioral techniques across a variety of settings, including in the community, in-home, and in-school. Ané has experience working with a wide range of backgrounds, such as diverse age groups, individuals with disabilities, and those who have interacted with different legal systems. Her long-term goal is to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Forensics/Criminal Justice to aid individuals in the criminal justice system.
