Welcome to the University of North Florida Galleries

The University of North Florida Galleries serve as dynamic spaces for artistic exploration, cultural engagement, and critical dialogue. Through a robust schedule of exhibitions, programming, and partnerships, our galleries support the creative work of students, faculty, regional artists, and nationally recognized figures. Together, the Lufrano Intercultural Gallery, the UNF Gallery of Art, and the UNF Gallery at MOCA Jacksonville form a triad of spaces that reflect the curiosity, and creative spirit of our campus and broader community.

 

Lufrano Intercultural Gallery

Located in UNF’s Student Union, the Lufrano Gallery is a space dedicated to showcasing visual art that reflects a wide range of cultural experiences and perspectives. The gallery presents exhibitions that explore themes such as community, heritage, identity, and global connections, often featuring artists whose work offers fresh and thought-provoking viewpoints. By encouraging dialogue through art, the Lufrano Gallery enriches the cultural fabric of the university and fosters a deeper understanding of the world around us.

UNF Gallery of Art

The UNF Gallery of Art, housed in Founders Hall (Building 2), is the central exhibition space for the Department of Art, Art History, and Design. The gallery showcases rotating exhibitions by visiting artists, faculty, and students, with a strong focus on contemporary practices across a range of materials and techniques. As an educational resource, the UNF Gallery of Art provides opportunities for hands-on learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development in the arts, while contributing to Jacksonville’s vibrant cultural scene.

UNF Gallery at MOCA Jacksonville

As part of a unique partnership between the University of North Florida and the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville (MOCA), the UNF Gallery at MOCA offers students and faculty a prestigious downtown venue for artistic engagement. The gallery provides a platform for thesis exhibitions, curated shows, and collaborative projects, allowing students to exhibit their work in a professional museum environment. Situated within one of Northeast Florida’s leading contemporary art institutions, the gallery amplifies UNF’s presence in the cultural heart of Jacksonville.
