Accessing the Parent Portal

How do I get access to my student's information?

Note this process is estimated to take about 10-15 minutes for the student portion

Your student will need to provide you access through myWings:

Laptop/desktop

  1. Log into myWings and select "Student" from the left menu
  2. Under the Student Resources menu, select the “Banner Self-Service” square
  3. Select the "Student Records" link
  4. Select “Parent Access”, then “Add Parent”
  5. Select “Create Account Invitation” Link OR enter your parent/guardian's UNF ID number if they have a previous affiliation with the University (alumni, student, employee, etc.) 
  6. Fill out the online form and select “submit”

Mobile

  1. Log into myWings and select the "Student" tile
  2. Under the Student Resources menu, select the “Banner Self-Service” square
  3. Select the "Student Records" link
  4. Select “Parent Access”, then “Add Parent”
  5. Select “Create Account Invitation” Link OR enter your parent/guardian's UNF ID number if they have a previous affiliation with the University (alumni, student, employee, etc.) 
  6. Fill out the online form and select “submit”

Your student will receive an email that they will need to forward to you.

Your student will select “Finish” and receive an email.

IMPORTANT! Your student needs to forward the email to you to complete the process.

Note this begins the parent side of the process it is estimated to take about 20-30 minutes for the parent portion. It is recommended this part be done from a laptop or PC device.

You will be taken to this screen. Type in your last name, select “Submit” and then complete the info form that appears next.

Create your personal password

Parent(s) will receive an email that contains their UNF ID (N-number). Use the link to access the myWings login page at http://mywings.unf.edu.

EMAIL EXAMPLE:

From: Parents, UNF parents@unf.edu
Subject: UNF Account Request

Dear New Osprey Parent,

Thank you for requesting an account at the University of North Florida.

Your UNF ID is N01234567.

You will be able to log into your parent portal tomorrow using your UNF ID.

The myWings login page is available at https://mywings.unf.edu. Before you log in for the first time you will need to set up your password. Instructions on how to do this can be found at Account-Password-Information.

1. Use myWings to Set Password

Step 1: Go to MyWings and select the "Can't Access Your Account?" link directly below the Login Button.

Step 2. Enter your email N# followed by @unf.edu (Ex. N1234567@unf.edu), ex. N01234567@unf.edu) and the characters in the picture and select "Next".

Step 3. Choose the "I forgot mypassword" option and select next

Step 4. Enter your phone number to receive a text for verification.

NOTE:
UNF passwords are 15 characters or longer

Passphrases such as "MykidandmoneygotoUNF" are recommended and easier to remember

 

Two-factor authentication is Required to Access UNF Applications

The Microsoft Authenticator app is used to authenticate to Microsoft and other applications that use your UNF credentials.
