UNF’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to unveil medical & health cohort
The University of North Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) is hosting a Demo Day on Thursday, March 25, to showcase the six promising start-ups from CEI’s health & medical cohort as they present their companies.
The event begins at 5 pm with ten-minute pitches from each of the founders to members of CEI’s Advisory Council and special guests. Awards and refreshments will follow the presentations. The six companies from UNF’s CEI cohort of founders include:
Loop You In: Frank Adamo has created the CRM app for service designers so they can connect more authentically with their user base.
Still Water/Zero Captivity: Pam Fortenberry’s company focuses on the anti-captivity movement. She has released a children’s book that hopes to reignite the movement on whales in captivity which includes beautiful original watercolor illustrations and tells the story of a whale living in captivity for over 50 years.
Oakheart Health: Riju Thomas & Michael Michon’s are co-founders of the company and they have created a product called GlassJaw. GlassJaw increases the speed and efficiency of the creation of craniomaxillofacial (CMF) implants.
Pareto Touch: Kenyatta & Laquita Lee are the co-founders of the population health management app that provides real time hospitalization and ER information to providers in order to coordinate care of a patient.
Synergena: Robert “Bud” Duthie has created a product that cleans and sanitizes air and surfaces killing all viruses and pathogens faster and more efficiently than sprays or UV.
HP5 Consulting: Tracee Holzendorf’s company is a healthcare consulting firm that focuses on assisting healthcare entities meeting short and long-term goals, including management as one of her core focuses.
UNF’s CEI facilitates the development of early-stage companies by offering a variety of programs to support and nurture selected startup businesses, including business plan development, co-working space, help from student interns, professional support and networking opportunities.
