The program produces reliable data through carefully executed research of the highest caliber of academic integrity to provide partners and policymakers with independent, non-partisan information directly from clients and constituents.

The lab receives the most national media attention for its political polling, but also works with clients from across the public and private sectors on topics like market awareness and customer satisfaction. PORL hopes to expand greater into healthcare survey industry.

Student involvement is a core component of all PORL research studies, engaging hundreds of students every year across UNF’s colleges and departments. Working at the PORL provides experiential learning opportunities, valuable skills in data collection and survey research, and a safe, comfortable on-campus working environment. PORL is a unique experience where students learn to communicate with various voices across the United States, contribute to public discourse, raise awareness and impact policies. Students learn about commitment to objectivity and transparency using scientific and accurate data that can be recreated and confirmed.
