Taylor Kennedy is a business consultant at the Florida Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida (UNF). Though he has worked at the UNF for 10+ years he started his own company, Rent A College Kid (RACK), when he was a junior in college to support his way through college. RACK was a company that performed small and odd jobs for the local Jacksonville community. Most jobs consisted of moving and household jobs like hanging blinds and yard work. Over time, there became a need for housecleaning, so Taylor brought in his wife to manage a cleaning edition of RACK to cover the spectrum of all household chores.

After Taylor completed his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2014, he was offered a full-time position at UNF managing the Online Learning Support team for faculty. As Taylor grew in this position he moved over to the Coordinator of Training where he trained faculty on the university’s learning management system while completing his Master’s in Business Administration. During his bachelor's and MBA, he took many classes that consulted local businesses through the SBDC program. During his professional career, he managed the social media platforms for his department, the Center for Instruction and Research Technology along with many of the website pages that he supported.

Taylor is very passionate about the business community and wants to see it flourish. He also enjoys helping others build their dream of owning their own business. While he is a business consultant generalist, he specializes in social media and online presence.

Taylor is native to Gainesville, Florida. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, riding motorcycles, BBQing, and traveling.
