31st Annual International Dinner Dance

Come participate in the 31st Annual International Dinner Dance, "Mexican Noche," supporting the International Ospreys' and the International Center's mission to increase cultural diversity and showcase a culturally-enriched environment for students. This semi-formal event will include a free dinner, cultural performances, a DJ, lots of dancing, and recognition of the International Student and Study Abroad Alumni of the Year. The event is FREE for UNF students with a valid Osprey 1Card and is funded by the STudent Life & Services fee.

Please join the Peace Corps Prep Advisor to learn about volunteering with the Peace Corps. Information about the Peace Corps Prep Program and its certificate will also be shared.

International Center Student Awards 2024

Awards

  1. The International Center will recognize one UNF international student and one UNF Study Abroad Alum of the year.
  2. Winners will be announced at the 31st Annual International Dinner Dance held Friday, April 12, 2024.
  3. You can apply yourself or nominate someone you feel is deserving of the award. If nominating someone, please email intlctr@unf.edu with the individual's name and email address.

Award Requirements

  1. This award program is open to current UNF students only.
  2. Completed Application Form.
  3. A copy of your UNF transcript must be submitted.
  4. Each application must be accompanied by one essay on "The Value of International Education" (typed, five full pages maximum, one side only, double spaced, times new roman, 12 pt. font).
  5. Entries must be submitted or emailed to the UNF International Center (intlctr@unf.edu) no later than Friday, March 22, 2024 at 5.00 pm.
  6. Each winner will receive a study abroad scholarship of $1,500.00, if eligible. This scholarship must be used for a study abroad program in the 2024-25 academic year.
The International Center will contact the winners concerning details of the scholarship after the event.

All essays submitted will become the property of the UNF International Center and will not be returned. Submitted application implies consent for use of essay, in whole or in part, by UNF International Center public relations materials, including but not limited to displays, publications, flyers, posters, social media and website with attribution to the writer.
