Edward and Sara Lynn Jones Endowed Scholarship for Nursing

Donor Criteria

  • meet admission requirements and be accepted to the University of North Florida
  • be a Florida resident for tuition purposes
  • earn a minimum UNF GPA or a transfer GPA of at least 3.0
  • enroll as a nursing major in the Brooks College of Health
  • be a junior or senior enrolled full-time, earning a minimum of 12 credit hours in the outlined by the program of study
  • demonstrate financial need as defined by the University's Office of Financial Aid
  • complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • strong preference will be given to students with a military or law-enforcement affiliation, including active duty or former members of the military or law-enforcement, and spouses or children of active duty or former members of the military or law-enforcement

Student Responsibility

  • enroll full-time with at least 12 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters, or adhere to the requirements outlined by the program of study
  • maintain a GPA of at least 3.0
  • comply with all University regulations, rules, and codes of conduct governing students on campus
  • consent to release grades to the University Development and Alumni Engagement Division for reporting to donors
  • file FAFSA form with the federal government each year
  • remain in good standing as a student with the University
