Community-Based Learning Courses
Community-based learning (CBL) is one of seven recognized experiential learning categories at UNF. CBL refers to intentionally designed, coordinated, and executed learning experiences in community-based settings that enhance participants’ academic learning, contribute to their personal growth, and increase their civic engagement while concurrently benefiting the communities in which these activities are embedded.
Students will find a variety of CBL courses across almost every discipline and major. At UNF, there are 3 categories that describe the CBL activities students may experience through courses:
- Outreach and Volunteering
- Community-Based Immersion
- Community-Based Instruction
