  • Mission Statement
    The mission of the Department of Construction Management is to educate and develop construction professionals with a global perspective through a rigorous, relevant, and accredited degree program offered by faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarly activities, service projects, community involvement, and ethical standards.
  • Our Values

    We believe that excellence in teaching, research, community service projects, and an active working relationship with our industry are essential to the development of successful construction professionals. The faculty profess that effective construction education:

    1. Provides opportunities for transformational learning activities, such as internships, service learning, and robust engagement with the construction industry.
    2. Emphasizes career development and placement opportunities.
    3. Requires interaction among faculty, students, and industry inside and outside the classroom.
  • Degree Program Objectives
    • Maintain accreditation by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE).
    • Increase enrollment to 400 undergraduate students by 2028.
    • Increase enrollment to 50 graduate students by 2028.
    • Place over 90% of undergraduate students in construction jobs within six months of graduation.
    • Increase scholarly activities and research performance by faculty members.
    • Increase participation in professional student chapters and clubs.
    • Increase participation in regional and national student competitions.
