Join the MedNexus High-Impact Practice (HIP) Course Initiative

Faculty!!! Are you ready to create transformative educational experiences that equip students with the skills to excel in the evolving healthcare industry? The MedNexus High-Impact Practice (HIP) course initiative invites faculty of all ranks to submit proposals for innovative, hands-on courses that incorporate real-world projects.

In the Northeast Florida region, 11 of the top 25 employers are healthcare-related. Advances in technology, such as artificial intelligence, automation and telemedicine, are revolutionizing patient care and streamlining administrative processes. The healthcare workforce of the future will expand beyond the current clinical roles to include many disciplines including the humanities, communications, social sciences, education, technology, business and others.

  • Interdisciplinary Approaches: We especially encourage projects that span multiple fields of study.

How We Can Support You:

We realize immersive classroom experiences in partnership with industry leaders takes extra time and resources. MedNexus will work with you to create an individualized package of support, opportunities include:

  • Stipends for faculty.
  • Funding for graduate assistantships.
  • Mini-grants for community partners.
  • Summer salary support.

How To Get Started:

  1. Schedule a consultation with MedNexus Associate Dean to discuss your idea.
  2. Complete the brief proposal form.
  3. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis so it is never too early to plan.
